mathi

In his songs, mathi blends lyrics that leave plenty of room for interpretation with choirs, orchestras and unusual sounds. Recordings often land in the song straight from his phone — noises from the studio, snippets from the street, things that seem incidental at first but suddenly take on meaning.

That, plus a lot of thought behind every melody and every word, makes for soundscapes that are a little off-kilter, a little beautiful, right up close and, above all, moving.
